I spent the afternoon with the Gant family on their farm in Blanchardville, Wisconsin. Today was a bunch of firsts for me: first time feeding a calf, first time trying unpasteurized milk straight from a cow, first time driving a 70-year old tractor. Thanks to the Gants for being such gracious hosts.

I spent the afternoon at Glacier National Park in Montana with some National Park Service Rangers. Gracie the Bark Ranger is a wildlife service dog who helps keep away the mountain goats and bears from the visitors. She is a much better trained herding dog than Beast. (Sorry Beast.)

For shabbat tonight, we gave Max a kiddush cup that has been in our family for almost 100 years. Her great-great-grandfather Max got it after our family immigrated here and it has been passed down through our family ever since.

I think Max is really starting to take after me since I've been on paternity leave.

Our new daughter is coming soon so I'm planning to take two months of paternity leave. I'm looking forward to bonding with our new little one and taking Max on adventures. I'm pretty sure the office will still be standing when I get back.
